Background
Professional actor and director David Mann will share the communication secrets he’s learned from working nationwide with Hartford Life and other companies. This educational, entertaining session will shed new light on the old saying, “it’s not what you say, it’s how you say it that matters.” Attendees will laugh and learn through simple exercises that reveal just how much is spoken when you’re not even aware you’re talking. Experience how to avoid losing the sale, losing the audience, or confusing your employees. Learn how to orchestrate the way you communicate.

Other
Mann has been a performer for over two decades, and his ability to make a speech into an experience is unique in this way. His seminar can be anything from a 20-minute introduction of ideas to a longer workshop that gets people much more active. He attends to keep the “theatricality” very minimal, i.e, this isn’t an improv workshop with a vague objective of increasing creativity. His sessions are designed to address specific issues faced by people in business and to address them using an approach based on theatrical technique. I don’t use audio or visual aids, except perhaps a white board with markers. Further credentials and testimonials can be found on either of his Web sites: for business – www.wordtoaction.com, and for performance – www.davidcmann.com. Being a performer, Mann’s keynotes and luncheon speeches tend to be as much entertainment and interactive as they are informative. And at this point, he is probably still quite recognizable as the Midwest Wireless Guy.
