Background
Sean Hong was born and raised in Malaysia, but came to the United States for his education and now holds a bachelor's degree in Economics and a master's degree in Business Administration. Hong has worked for Mayo Clinic for 10 years - the past two years as a recruitment coordinator at the Blood Donor Center. Hong says he understands perfectly the need of blood in the community; especially since he has been on the "other side of the fence." Hong has been very actively presenting “Donate for Life” around Mayo Campus, including presenting to all Mayo administrators, neurology consultants, etc.
Hong’s presentation content includes speaking about key discoveries, where blood comes from and how much blood is in our bodies. Additional content includes why we should donate blood, blood donation facts, six easy steps to donate blood, what happens to blood after donation and donor gifts.
