Eggs & Issues
This event gives you the opportunity to ask area legislators about the issues
that affect your business and your lives. With an average attendance of 100
people, the Chamber has one of the most popular Chamber breakfast series in
the state. Area representatives are regular attendees. Recent guest speakers

Cruising with Local Leaders
Who said government can’t be fun? Join Rochester business

day with elected officials from the Rochester City Council and
the Olmsted County Board of Commissioners. The day will begin

Red Wing. Then gather to hear from our City and County leadership

The Martin Luther King, Jr. Breakfast is an annual event held
on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The event is designed to commemorate
the life and work of Dr. King. Updates from community leaders
on community-wide diversity initiatives and a keynote presentation
with an emphasis on continued work in civil rights are two of
the features of this event. Over 400 people attend this event.

Solutions Seminar Series
The goal of the Business Solutions Seminar Series is to assist
business professionals in the workforce development and strategic
planning components of their organization. Sessions on employment
law, ethics, taxation, leadership development, recruitment,
hiring, retention, staff development, compensation, and strategic
planning are just some of the topics addressed during these
valuable sessions. Approximately 35 business professionals attend

Educators in the Workplace
The Educators in the Workplace Institute is designed to enhance the connections
between the educator and the business professional. This three-day institute
is comprised of interactive work-site visits designed for the business professional
to articulate the needs of today’s workplace environment to area educators.
During the school year, the business professional visits the classroom to observe
the education system. Seventy educators attend the Institute and sixty business
professionals are involved in work-site visits or interactive panel discussions.

Leadership Greater Rochester Program
Leadership Greater Rochester is a comprehensive nine-month
program designed to educate participants about the leadership
roles within the Rochester community. The program goal is to identify
emerging leaders, expand their knowledge of the community, and
encourage them to take active, individual responsibility for participation
and leadership in the future of Rochester. The program includes
a two-day retreat and eight full-day sessions that offer different
topics, experiences, and discussions. Forty-five business professionals
are interviewed and selected to participate in this exciting course.
