PrairieCare Medical Group Southern MN Expanding Adult Services
They welcome Dr. Christopher Sola as Medical Director of Adult Services

The PrairieCare Medical Group (PCMG) Southern MN mission is to provide individualized and transformative psychiatric care.  The medical group currently has practices in both Rochester and Mankato and have hired Dr. Christopher Sola to lead the expansion of adult services in both communities.  Doctor Sola is a nationally recognized, board-certified adult psychiatrist with a history of collaboration and leadership that has earned him numerous awards.  As Dr. Christopher Wall, Founder of PCMG Southern MN notes, “with new buildings underway in both Mankato and Rochester, we wanted to further emphasize high-quality, collaborative, community-based care for the entire spectrum of ages.  I’ve known Dr. Sola, and have followed his work, for nearly two decades and am thrilled that he is willing to bring his spirit of innovation and teamwork to our adult mental healthcare landscape. We believe Dr. Sola will lead our teams to develop new approaches to complement existing community services.” The new Rochester building is located at 5255 Members Parkway NW off of West Circle Drive, and the Mankato building is located at 120 East Main Street near the Blue Earth County Library.

Although new to PrairieCare, Dr. Christopher Sola is not new to the Southern MN. He completed his Adult Psychiatry residency training at Mayo Clinic, where he was twice named Colleague of the Year, won the M.J. Martin Excellence in Consultation Psychiatry Award and served as Chief Resident, followed by a fellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry at Mayo Clinic. He also served as the Medical Director of the Inpatient Medical Psychiatry unit. While at Mayo Clinic, Dr. Sola held a number of leadership roles, serving as the Adult Psychiatry Residency Program and the Fellowship Director for the Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry fellowship, as well as the Vice Chair for the Division of Hospital Practice in the Psychiatry department. He then moved to the Cleveland Clinic, where he worked in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry and served as the director of the Consultation-Liaison fellowship. Wherever he has worked, Dr. Sola has dedicated tremendous energy, mentorship, and leadership to his work. This has resulted in several peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and presentations at local, regional and national scientific meetings.
