  • LGR Session committee LGR Session committee

    LGR Session planning committee: (up to 5 members)

    Session planning teams help support the Session Chair to create a session that fulfills the objectives of the day.

     

    Committee criteria:

    1. Need to be a LGR Graduate

    2. Commit to attending session planning meetings, the day session, and review meetings

    3. Work in a team atmosphere to create an agenda that fulfills the objectives of the session as well as the program

     

    LGR Session Chair: (up to 2 members)

    Session Chairs are passionate about the session they are leading. They are committed to leading a committee of volunteers to provide an interactive, enriching day that fulfills the objectives of both the day and the overall LGR program. Finds experts in the topics of the day to present/interact with class.

     

    Session Chair criteria:

    1. Need to be a LGR Graduate

    2. Commit to ½ day program planning session in July with other chairs to ensure consistent delivery between sessions

    3. Communicate with team in an effective and efficient manner expectations and roles for the day

    1. Commit to reviewing agenda with program steering committee at minimum, one month before scheduled session

    2. Sends thank you cards to team members and any guest speakers/volunteers

    3. Communicates budget and dietary needs of the day with Workforce Development and Education Director at minimum, one month before scheduled session

  • LGR Program Committee LGR Program Committee

    LGR Program Steering Committee:  (12 members)

    The LGR program steering committee is responsible for advising the program and session chairs to ensure the program is on track to fulfill the program objectives.

     

    Committee criteria:

    1. Need to be a LGR Graduate

    2. 75% attendance at monthly meetings (fourth Friday of the month from 8:00 - 9:30 a.m.)

    3. Fulfill a two year term, at the end, a committee member may leave or commit to another term of service which is from July - May

    4. At the end of three terms of service, a committee member must take at least a one year hiatus before serving again on the program steering committee

    5. Need to be involved on at least one session planning committee as a team member or chair

     

    LGR Program Chair criteria: (1 member)

    The program chair’s role is to guide the participants through the year by assessing their needs, working with the Program Steering committee on evaluation of session surveys, and to work with the session chairs to ensure consistency in delivery of the program outcomes.

     

    Chair criteria:

    1. Need to be a LGR Graduate

    2. Need to be on the steering committee for one year prior to taking program chair position

    3. Need to have chaired at least one session prior to becoming Program Chair

    4. Need to be a member of the steering committee during chair term

    5. Chair will be determined by March 1st of the prior year by vote of the program steering c ommittee

    6. One year commitment

  • LGR Alumni Engagement Committee LGR Alumni Engagement Committee

    LGR Alumni Engagement Committee: (up to 20 members)

    The Alumni Engagement Committee is to support Alumni by providing opportunities for continued social network, formalize the communication to alumni, professional development (LGR 202), provide consultation and/or resources for continued community engagement. This committee also consults the current class in CIP needs, reaches out to experts for session chairs, and supports the re-engagement of alumni in both LGR and community opportunities.

     

    Committee criteria:

    1. Need to be a LGR Graduate

    2. A member of the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce

    3. 75% attendance at every other month meetings

    4. Fulfill a two year term, at the end, a committee member may leave or commit to another term of service which is from July - May

    5. At the end of three terms of service, a committee member must take at least a one year hiatus before serving again

     

    Committee Chair criteria:

    1. Need to be a LGR Graduate

    2. Need to be on the Alumni Engagement Committee for one year prior to taking program chair position

    3. Chair will be determined by March 1st of the prior year by vote of the Alumni Engagement Committee

    4. One year commitment
