  • LGR Session Committees LGR Session Committees

    LGR Session Planning Committee: (up to 5 members)

    Session planning teams help support the Session Chair to create a session that fulfills the objectives of the day.

     

    Committee Criteria:

    1. Must be an LGR program graduate

    2. Commit to attending session planning meetings, the session itself, and session review meetings

    3. Work in a team atmosphere to create an agenda that fulfills the objectives of the session as well as the program


    LGR Session Chair: (up to 2 members)

    Session Chairs are passionate about the session they are leading, preferably with relevant skills, knowledge, and expertise to the session’s subject matter. They are committed to leading a committee of volunteers to provide an interactive, enriching day that fulfills the objectives of both the session and the overall LGR program. The Session Chair will find experts in the field of the session’s focus to present to/engage with the class.

     

    Session Chair Criteria:

    1. Must be an LGR program graduate

    2. Commit to a ½ day program planning session in July with other chairs to ensure consistent delivery across sessions

    3. Communicate with session planning team in an effective and efficient manner the expectations and roles for the day

    1. Commit to reviewing the session agenda with program Steering Committee, at minimum one month prior to scheduled session

    2. Sends thank you cards to session planning team members and any guest speakers/volunteers

    3. Communicates budget and dietary needs of the day with Workforce Development Manager, at minimum one month prior to scheduled session

  • LGR Program Steering Committee LGR Program Steering Committee

    LGR Program Steering Committee:  (12 members)

    The Leadership Greater Rochester Program Steering Committee plays a vital role in guiding, carrying out, and assessing the program each year. This committee is responsible for advising the program and session chairs throughout the year to ensure the program is on track to fulfill its objectives.

     

    Committee Criteria:

    1. Must be an LGR program graduate

    2. 75% attendance at monthly meetings (fourth Friday of the month from 8:00 - 9:30 a.m.)

    3. Fulfill a two year term, at the end, a committee member may leave or commit to another term of service which is from June - May

    4. At the end of three terms of service, a committee member must take at least a one year hiatus before serving again on the program steering committee

    5. Must be involved on at least one session planning committee as a team member or chair


    LGR Program Chair Criteria: (1 member)

    The Program Chair’s role is to lead the LGR cohort through their class year, guiding class participants through the program’s ten sessions, assessing their needs and serving as their consistent resource and point of contact. Through an identified theme, the Program Chair will set the feel and focus of the program for the year, serving as the unifying voice across sessions. As a member of the program Steering Committee, the Program Chair will work with the full committee to evaluate sessions through surveys and other feedback, and with the session chairs to ensure consistency in delivery of the program to reach desired objectives and outcomes.

     

    Chair Criteria:

    1. Must be an LGR program graduate

    2. Must be on the program Steering Committee for one year prior to taking Program Chair position, and for the duration of their chair term

    3. Must have chaired at least one session prior to becoming Program Chair

    4. Chair will be determined by the prior year by vote of the program Steering Committee

    5. One year commitment

  • LGR Alumni Engagement Committee LGR Alumni Engagement Committee

    LGR Alumni Engagement Committee: (up to 20 members)

    The Alumni Engagement Committee serves to support LGR program alumni by providing opportunities for continued networking, professional development, and community engagement. This committee will actively work to encourage the re-engagement of other alumni with the program, identifying best opportunities for where and how they can plug in (whether in planning, chairing sessions, hosting, or other methods of support), in addition to consulting on how alumni can engage in opportunities to serve the community at large. This committee will serve as a resource to the current LGR class, consulting the class in their Community Impact Project needs. The Alumni Engagement Committee will formalize communications to alumni, serving as the connection point between alumni and the program, including the current class and program Steering Committee.

     

    Committee Criteria:

    1. Must be an LGR program graduate

    2. Must maintain 75% attendance at monthly meetings

    3. Fulfill a two year term, at the end of which a committee member may leave or commit to another term of service from June - May

    4. At the end of three terms of service, a committee member must take at least a one year hiatus prior to serving again.

     

    Committee Chair Criteria:

    1. Must be an LGR program graduate

    2. Must be on the Alumni Engagement Committee for one year prior to taking Committee Chair position

    3. Committee Chair will be determined by the prior year by vote of the Alumni Engagement Committee

    4. One year commitment
