Event Policy

Code of Conduct

The Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce (the “Chamber”) is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and productive environment for all event participants. By attending a Chamber event, you agree to conduct yourself professionally, treat others with respect, and refrain from disruptive, discriminatory, or harassing behavior. Unacceptable conduct, including harassment, event disruption, offensive remarks, or intimidation will not be tolerated. Violations may result in removal from the event without refund and restriction from future Chamber events.

Refund Policy

Requests for refunds will be accommodated if submitted prior to the registration deadline listed on each respective event’s website. Refunds will be issued or registrants may choose to apply the registration fee as a credit towards another event if the request is made before the registration deadline.

If the cancellation is received after the deadline, a refund will not be issued, and we recommend designating an alternative registrant. The Chamber accepts substitutions up to the start time of the event.

Program Cancellation Policy

If a program is cancelled in advance due to inclement weather or factors outside of the Chamber’s control, the Chamber will contact registrants via the email provided at the time of registration, in addition to posting a notice on the event’s website. Those who register for an event that is cancelled may either receive a refund, or have the fee applied as a credit for future Chamber events. Registration fees will be refunded within 30 business days after a program has been cancelled.

If a program ends early due to inclement weather or uncontrollable circumstances, refunds will not be issued. However, the Chamber will explore alternative arrangements when possible.

Consent, Waiver and Release

When you attend a Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce (the “Chamber”) event or program, you enter an area where interviews, photography, and audio and/or video recording may occur by the Chamber or their contractor.

By entering the event, you consent to photography and video recording and permit the Chamber to utilize the aforementioned photos and videos on a perpetual basis for the promotion of the Chamber on social media and Chamber publications without further consent from you, approval by you, or royalty, payment or other compensation to you. By entering the event, you also agree not to record or livestream and potion of the event via audio, video, or other means without prior written consent from the Chamber.

By registering for the event, you consent to the waiver and release prior to entry. If you do not consent to the above, please contact Chamber staff.
